Who am I?
My name is Lucy Lismore and I am really passionate about teaching others about the true benefits of health and fitness!
Why?!
I love it because it changed everything I know, and I now love to help others learn the real benefits of health and fitness and the positive effect it has not just on your health but on your entire lifestyle.

Several years ago I was this person. One day I decided to change my life int he subsequent several months lost 30kg. It was a eye opening experience and looking back it seemed to go in a flash. That was just the start of what now is the best decision I ever made!
Several years later, after travelling along quite nicely in my new found body and with my brand new habits the complacency was setting in and I no longer really loved what I was doing! It was all getting a little boring, so I set a new years resolution.
That new years resolution was to be able to do 1 chin up within that year! Little did I know the huge impact that little decision was about to have on my life.
I began teaching myself progressions to increase my strength and started working on natural strength movements. I went to university and started studying science, with a focus the physiology and biochemistry of the human body. I started to fall down the rabbit warren of calisthenics (one thats hard to escape from), and eventually after a frustrating and interesting year, was able to do more than just a chin up. The feeling was incredible and my love for health and fitness was at an all time high!
After a few months I was starting to drive my friends and family crazy with my incessant conversations about calisthenics, handstands and fitness and needed an outlet to find others who shared my passion. Thats when I created my instagram account @lucy.lismore.fitness.
There I connected with loads of amazing people from the calisthenics community. It all started to click in to place and as my body grew stronger so too did my passion for bodyweight exercise. I started to realise how it was impacting every aspect of my life in a positive way! I no longer thought about how much I was eating, I no longer dreaded going out to exercise, I no longer worried about how my body looked because all that mattered was that I was doing what I loved.
It started to hit me that the real benefit of my new found hobby had very little to do with the traditional ‘benefits’ of a healthy lifestyle.
Now I love helping others to find their passion, just like I did and to break free of the traditional and trapping restraints of weight loss and getting fitter.
So what is the best thing that you can do to stay motivated, get fit, feel happier and more at ease! Enjoy the journey and every moment of it!
